Working from home guidance: what you need to know

Following today’s announcement by the Government on the tougher restrictions being introduced to tackle the new Omicron variant, you must now return to working from home unless you cannot do so.

The only exceptions to this rule will be for those staff working in frontline or COVID response roles.

If you are required to visit a frontline health service location, such as a GP practice, then you should:

• discuss this with your line manager to make sure the visit is absolutely necessary
• follow the guidance
• take the necessary precautionary measures, such as taking a Lateral Flow Test before visiting.
