Working at home and Spencer Close guidance

Now the Government has lifted the Plan B restrictions, including the ‘work from home’ request, you may wish to start working at Spencer Close again.

But we cannot welcome everyone back at the same time. With Buildings 2 and 3 being used as a vaccination centre, and Building 1 used for storage, the only one open for office use is Building 4.

Space is therefore limited, and we have had to introduce a desk booking system to restrict numbers. We have also put an office protocol in place to protect you and others from Covid.

So, if you do want to come to the office you must:

  • Pre-book a desk or meeting room at Spencer Close
  • Do not come to the office if you are feeling unwell
  • Please complete a lateral flow test and make sure you have a negative result before coming to the office. Register your result on the GOV.UK website
  • Sign in when you arrive at Spencer Close reception
  • Wear a face covering when moving about the office or when coming within two metres of a colleague. The Government guidance on office working still advises coverings to be used in enclosed spaces
  • Keep spaces ventilated where possible
  • Clear the desk completely after use. Do not leave your belongings at the desk or in the office when you leave. Desks, chairs, phones, mice and keyboards should be wiped down with a sanitising wipe after use
  • Please also wipe down any shared equipment you may have used
  • If you start to feel unwell whilst working at Spencer Close please leave immediately and arrange a Covid test if necessary.

Please speak to your line manager or contact the comms team if you have any questions.
