Virtual family quiz night

Following the success of our first virtual quiz night back in June, we hope you can join us for our next one!

The quiz will take place on Friday 2 October from 7.45pm to approx. 9.30pm on Microsoft Teams. This means there’s time to get your team together, of up to 8, to battle it out for the title of top quizzers and have some fun in the process.

Get involved and register your team today!

Below are some instructions on how you can get involved. All you need to do is:

  • Get your team together (maximum eight people)
Team members can include your family and/or colleagues
  • Come up with a name and register your team
Email the Comms team with your team name, so we can easily identify you, by 12noon on Friday 2 October 2020.
  • Nominate a team captain
This person will be responsible for writing down the answers and sharing scores

House rules for the night

Please note the following house rules, so we can make sure things run as smoothly as possible on the night:

  • Be ready on the Teams channel 5/10 minutes before the start time
  • Find a way you can confer with your team by setting up either a:
    • WhatsApp video call (for small teams)
    • WhatsApp messaging
    • Zoom call via your mobile or personal laptop/device
  • Mute the main Microsoft Teams while you confer and/or chat with your team, so everyone isn’t talking at the same time
  • Team captains will share scores (via Teams chat) after each round with the quizmaster
  • You will mark your own answer papers, so be honest!
  • Refrain from using Google if you don’t know the answer!

Finally, be sure to grab yourself a glass of something along with snacks and I’m sure we’ll all have a fun evening!

Look forward to seeing you all again via Teams.
