Virtual family quiz night

Save the date for more brainteasers…

For more than a year now the virtual family quiz nights have been a welcome source of fun and a chance for everyone to test their grey cells.

Following on from the last event in the summer a date has now been set for the next, on Thursday 4 November which will once again take place on MS Teams.

As well as some tricky questions to overcome, the quiz is the perfect opportunity to put work aside, let your head down and have a few laughs.

All you need to do is:

• get your team, including family and/or colleagues, together (no more than 8 people per team)
• agree on your team name and register your team by emailing the Comms team before 12noon on Thursday 4 November
• nominate your team captain who will be responsible for writing down answers and sharing scores

On the night of the quiz itself you will be able to click on the ‘Join the Microsoft Teams meeting’ link in the meeting invitation, which will be sent out nearer the time.

There will be a set of house rules on the night, so we can make sure things run as smoothly as possible:

• Be ready on Teams 5/10 minutes before we are due to start
• Decide on the way you will confer with your team by setting up a WhatsApp video call, WhatsApp messaging or Zoom call via your mobile or personal laptop/device
• Mute the main Teams chat when you are conferring or discussing answers with your team
• Share scores after each round with the quizmaster
• Don’t be tempted to use Google!

Since we are bringing all the quizzing – all you have to do is grab something to drink and your snacks of choice and you will be ready to go.
