Stay safe, stay apart, stay local

Essex County Council (ECC) is encouraging people to carefully consider how they enjoy the outdoors. Whether you are out running, walking with the family, or cycling, please stay safe and stay apart.

We all have a pent-up desire to get outside especially now with home-schooling and the half term holiday. However, we want you to be safe and healthy when venturing outside.

While we are still in a national lockdown, the council is asking visitors to avoid visiting the county at this time to ensure we can maintain social distancing and keep our residents safe.

It can be very tempting during half term, as you will of course want to get out whether it’s visiting local parks or for exercise. However, we are all still fighting this virus and it’s important you continue to follow the national guidance and remain safe.

Social distancing and regular hand washing is now a fact of life. That is why ECC is now urging people to be sensible and take individual personal responsibility to keep their distance from those they don’t live with. So please stay safe, stay apart and stay local.
