Staff briefing update

Thanks to everyone who came along yesterday.  As a recap and for those of you unable to make it along we covered:

  • James from Posturite – he spoke about the importance of good workstation set up and went through a few exercises to do at your desk, along with a guide to using ipads and tablets. There are some copies of these available in Building 1 and he will be sending over the exercises electronically.  We will then send these round.
  • Josephine from the Primary Care team gave an overview of the new Primary Care Networks (PCNs). She has pulled together a short briefing on them, what they are, where the initiative has come from and the status in west Essex.  They are an important development and will support GPs, workforce and our population.
  • Anurita and June then spoke about to QIPP, or not to QIPP! They asked for ideas on how QIPP could be improved, how to refer to improvements and effectiveness in primary care to make it more understandable to the public, and how to demonstrate cost savings more positively.  Any ideas or if you want to know more please contact June Okochi

The next staff briefing takes place on Wednesday 19 June, invite to all staff to follow shortly.
