- Sending a big thanks to all the on-call team for their support.
Vaccination update – Stephen Fry
- 16-17 year olds – approaching 40% in west Essex – as of Sunday (29 Aug) – 38.1%
- The overall position is just over 80% have had their first jab and 72% have been double vaccinated
- Ian Tompkins – regarding the 16-17 year old cohort, there have been some turnout but we are not where we want to be yet
- If you have friends and family who fall into this group then please do encourage them to get the jab before they go back to school or college. There are several places they can get their jab – these are all on the My Health Essex website.

- A big thank you to Anurita Rohilla, Marion Jones, Angus Henderson Sandra Herbert and Theresa Buglass for their hard work on this
- We are ensuring that these people have their needs met, once they complete their quarantine – working with councils to support them
- A lot of hard work going into it around support services, there are more people arriving on Thursday, not sure who and how many
- After quarantine, they’ll be resettled gradually
- Anurita – A big thank you to Julie Davis and Naomi Money/Hunt who offered to do the medicine deliveries over the weekend
- Staff flu vaccination – we are waiting for confirmation on how this will work this year and will come back to you on details in due course.
Office booking system – update from Alan Hicks
- We have been working hard to set up a system so you can book a desk at Spencer Close electronically
- We aim to put training sessions in more depth next week
- The system is now live, we are working with comms to get it on the intranet
- This booking will be under system called ‘UBook’ – you will need to create a login account by registering as a new user
- There will be options to book a desk or meeting room – insert date, start and end time, and submit
- You will then be presented with a plan of the office and select an available (highlighted in green) desk (unavailable desks in red).
- An email confirmation will be sent to you and your booking will be added to your calendar
- On the day you will be sent a check-in email 30 minutes before and after your allotted time – you must check-in to ensure the system knows you are there – if you don’t it will be put your desk back onto booking system for someone else to book
- If you book a desk in the office you will be able to select a desk that has a desk riser installed
- There will be no option to set reoccurring meeting room bookings for the time being
- David Wallace – plea to be extra careful to follow the rules, maintain social distancing, regular handwashing etc. when we are in the office. It is very easy to forget, just a gentle reminder to be vigilant.
- Q: How far in advance can you book?
- A: As far as you want, it can even be 2 years, etc.
