Staff briefing roundup
Welcome – Rob Gerlis
General update – Peter Wightman
ICS update (following on from Jane’s email)
- NHSE had a board meeting, about the next steps for developing ICS across England – there has been a new proposal document
- We have been we have been asked series of questions around the formation of our Hertfordshire and West Essex ICS – we must respond to this by 8 January 2021
- The direction around our HWE ICS is already in line with national thinking
- Instead of being called CCG it will be a ICS
- Rather than ICS being a community of statutory bodies – we will merge as CCGs into one or become an ICS
- Other change-related so specialised services – prison health care, options and dental etc. These areas will also be transferred into an ICS
Rob Gerlis
- Some of the proposals set out are already the direction we were going in anyway – the key differences are the pace and that it is more of a change for NHSE rather than our CCGs
- WE CCG will exist as its only separate organisation until March 2022 where we will merge
COVID national and regional statistics (to come)
Local update – Ian Tompkins
