Share your story this Volunteers’ Week
Volunteers’ Week takes place next week, 1-7 June. This national annual event is a chance to celebrate and say thank you to volunteers across the UK for the contribution they make. The week also gives us an opportunity to raise awareness about the benefits of becoming a volunteer and the positive impact it can have on your life.
This year, it’s a little bit different for everyone and a change from the usual and very popular volunteer fairs and events which usually take place. With social distancing measures in place these physical events won’t be possible. Nevertheless, you can still get involved this Volunteers’ Week!
Here are a few ideas on how to show your appreciation:
- Share your volunteering stories – tell us what you do to help the lives of others
- Hold a virtual event. Perhaps a Zoom or FaceTime coffee morning or tea party
- Make a short thank you video and share it online with the hashtag #volunteersweek2020
Send us your volunteering stories, pictures, videos anything you would like to share – by emailing the Comms team. We’ll be sharing these during Volunteers’ Week and we’d love to give you a shout out.
