Reporting faults or building issues

Is there a flickering light or a blocked toilet in your building? If so, do you know how to report these issues or log a new maintenance request?

NHS Property Services has a dedicated facilities management (FM) helpdesk. It offers help with all FM services matters 24/7, 365 days per year.

Here’s a reminder of how to report non-urgent and urgent FM maintenance requests.

For non-urgent requests or to report faults, log the job using the online form. Examples include:

  • a light not working
  • faulty door handles
  • a toilet not flushing

For emergencies or out-of-hours, call the FM Helpdesk on 0808 196 2045. This number is free and available all day, every day of the year. Examples include:

  • a major leak
  • no heating or water in the buildings
  • the smell of gas
