NHS staff survey – make your voice count

We want to hear from you, whatever your role or background…

The NHS Staff Survey is one of the best ways for you to share your views about your job and the CCG.

After the unique demands of the last 18 months, it’s more important than ever you tell us what you think about your working experience and how it can be improved.

Please do fill yours in and make sure you have your say. As the People Promise says: “We each have a voice that counts”. By giving just 15 minutes of your time you can help make the NHS the workplace we all want it to be.

Last year’s results revealed 73 per cent of you worked additional unpaid hours per week for this organisation, over and above your contracted hours. And 12 per cent reported you have personally experienced harassment, bullying or abuse at work from managers. How do you feel about this now?

Did you know we’ve put many things in place over the past year to look after and support your health, wellbeing and safety at work? We have:

  • recruited and trained six Mental Health First Aiders, to support you and signpost you to appropriate help if required
  • introduced fortnightly mid-week mindfulness sessions
  • recruited Freedom to Speak Up Champions, who will shortly conclude their training to give them the skills they need to be an effective voice for staff
  • introduced regular lunch and learn sessions with a specific focus on health and wellbeing.

You also have access to the Here For You mental health and wellbeing service. You can call their 24/7 helpline – 0344 257 3960 – to confidentially talk through any problems you’re facing, whatever they may be.

We also have the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), which provides confidential expert help, information and support. You can call 0800 111 6387 any time or visit the Vita Wellbeing Hub using the organisation code WESTWELL.

We want to hear from you, whatever your role or background, so we can be sure the survey results reflect the experience of everyone who works here.

The survey, which is open until Friday 26 November 2021, is run by Picker an independent external research company. What you say is kept confidential and anonymous. Results are only reported to organisations in summary form and in such a way that it’s impossible to identify an individual’s responses.
