NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme
Are you ready to take a step towards becoming a future NHS leader and to receive the training and support you need to reach your goal?
If your answer is yes, you should consider applying to the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme. The scheme is not just for new graduates, over 20 per cent of new trainees who started the scheme in September 2019 came from NHS organisations.
On the scheme you will benefit from mentoring support, first class training from some of the most brilliant minds in and outside of the NHS and the opportunity to gain a fully-funded postgraduate qualification.
Your training and study will enable you to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence you need to equip you to change processes, inform big decisions, make vital savings and improve lives. Ultimately, this scheme can lead you to senior board level roles in the NHS.
We offer six specialisms:
- General Management
- Finance
- Human Resources
- Health Analysis
- Health Informatics
- Policy and Strategy Management
You will be on the scheme for either two years, or two and a half years if you choose Finance.
As an NHS employee, you will benefit from protected terms that are in your existing contract. This means we will protect staff salaries (up to a certain band level), annual leave and your pension terms.
Like all applicants, NHS in-service staff can choose up to three preferred areas to complete the scheme. However, we recognise some colleagues have long-established ties to certain areas due to their NHS careers and we will consider these.
Applications are now open and will close December 2020. The estimated job commencement date is 6 September 2021.
To find out more about the scheme, visit the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme website or join a live webinar, specifically for NHS staff on Wednesday 11 November at 1.30pm. Register for this free event.
