New Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) service launches

Herts Urgent Care (HUC) has launched a new Integrated Urgent Care and GP Extended Access service across West Essex.

The service brings together local NHS111, GP Out of Hours and GP extended access services in evenings and on weekends under one provider as an Integrated Urgent Care Service (IUC). These services were previously provided by three separate organisations.

HUC already provides IUC services in Hertfordshire as well as Cambridgeshire & Peterborough, Luton & Bedfordshire. The extension into west Essex will therefore help ensure consistency of care for those who live within our STP area.
