New employee support service now available

Discover what help is available if you’re struggling to cope with what life has to throw at you…

We are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for you. An environment where you feel supported and inspired to work to the best of your ability.

However, matters which cause us concern, whether of a work or personal nature, have no respect for time. They may arise when we least expect them, any time day or night, during the week at the weekend or even during holidays.

To complement our existing services, and offer you around the clock access to confidential advice and emotional support, we have appointed Workplace Wellness to provide a new and independent employee support service. The Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is available from today (Tuesday 1 September 2020).

If you are currently receiving support via our previous EAP provider ‘Wellbeing Solutions Management’ this will continue for the duration of the agreed period.

Making the ride smoother

We can all benefit from professional, independent advice, help and support at various stages throughout our lives. The Workplace Wellness EAP is a free, confidential service which offers you expert guidance, specialist counselling and support at any time.

Where appropriate, the EAP can also provide you with up to six sessions of face-to-face counselling.

The EAP will help you prepare for, and cope successfully with, life’s events and challenges. The things that could derail you, causing you to become distracted, anxious, or feel out of control. The EAP can help you with the things which leave you feeling like you just don’t know where to turn or who to go to for the right information and help, including:

  • Consumer rights and legal information – benefits, housing problems, tax credits, disability, neighbour disputes
  • Debt management and budgeting – creditors, financial health check
  • Emotional support – poor work/life balance, illness, crisis, anxiety, loss, self-confidence, workplace pressure
  • Family relationships – communication, marriage, co-habitation, coping with teenagers
  • Health and wellbeing – problems sleeping, fitness, weight management, alcohol, nutrition
  • Work and career issues – change, team dynamics, work overload, conflict

Life can be a rollercoaster and many of the above are an inevitable part of everyday living. It helps us to manage them positively if we have quick access to the right information and support. The Workplace Wellness team are experts at helping you to identify, plan and manage life events helping you to stay in control, happy, healthy and focused on life and work.

Help in times of crisis

Some events are less easy to predict, such as a bereavement or serious illness. Workplace Wellness can provide practical help and professional emotional support, to help you through these difficult times.

Help when you need it

It’s OK to ask for help. Whether you are full or part time, a manager or team member, you can benefit from this service.

The EAP is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, online or on the phone to provide the expert help, information and support you need.

The EAP will answer your questions or refer you to the most appropriate advisor, counsellor, or source of information. This includes legal, financial, consumer and personal – all in confidence.
