Microsoft Teams training sessions available

Next week, we kick off a series of bite-sized online training sessions on a range of Microsoft Teams related topics.

You are probably already using Teams to chat, meet and collaborate, as well as share documents and files. Teams is a great way for us all to keep in touch and stay connected, especially as most of us continue to work from home.

You can choose to join one of three different workshops depending on your level of knowledge – details below.

Introduction to Teams – communicating with colleagues

  • Wednesday 29 July, 9am to 9.45am
  • Tuesday 11 August, 10am to 10.45am

If you’re new to Teams, this session will walk you through the basics and get you started, such as:

  • signing in to your account
  • checking your audio and video settings
  • creating group chats
  • making calls
  • scheduling and setting up a meeting
  • joining a meeting
  • using the meeting chat box – if you want to comment or ask a question
  • raising your hand – so you can contribute to the discussion

Teams meetings

  • Wednesday 12 August, 9am to 9.45am

Here’s a taster of what you will learn in this session:

  • Sharing documents
  • Hosting a meeting
  • Recording a meeting

Teams functions and features

  • Thursday 13 August, 12noon to 12.45pm

Do you want to discover what else you can do in Teams to improve your meeting experience?

If so, the course content includes:
