Making anti-racism a reality
Find out more about the NHS Anti-Racism Strategy…
Staff who are Black, Asian or from other ethnicity groups (BAME) continue to report poor treatment.
Among concerns from BAME colleagues are:
- being disproportionately impacted by bullying and abuse from patients and members of the public as well as their own colleagues
- less likely to believe their organisation provides equal opportunity for career progression compared to their white colleagues
- seeing a lack of cultural awareness and understanding amongst some line managers
NHS East of England has an Anti-Racism Strategy you can find out more about and help make anti-racism a reality.
It is holding a series of workshops, lasting 45 minutes throughout this month and there is still time to sign up to one.
The next opportunities are:
- Tuesday 19 October 2021, 1pm
- Monday 25 October 2021, 2.30pm
- Wednesday 27 October 2021, 9am and 10am
Sign up to one of the workshops or email the regional office if you have any queries.
