Kick off 2020 with Jump Start January

Some of us jump start our day by having a coffee, going for a jog or walking the dog.

As we continue the CCG’s 12 months of healthiness campaign we kick off the New Year with Jump Start January!

From anything to losing weight, giving up smoking or donating to charity, Jump Start January is the CCG’s new tradition. Think of it as your chance to change an undesired trait or jump-start a new interest to accomplish a personal goal or otherwise improve your life.

Jump Start January isn’t necessarily about stopping things or bad habits but trying something new. You could spend more time with friends and family and jump start the New Year with personal growth resolutions.

Jump Start January ideas

1. Travel more – request annual leave at work, pick your destination and book it!
2. Give up smoking – if you’re a smoker, quit. Make a promise, set a date and stick to it
3. Control your alcohol intake – you can still enjoy a drink, but go for smaller measures
4. Improve physical wellbeing – eat healthy foods, move your body more, stretch, go for a walk and stay hydrated
5. Eat more fruit and veg – fruits and vegetables are jam-packed with vitamins and minerals. They’re also low in fat so they make ideal snacks
