It’s Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month
For many of us, March offers a glimpse of spring, longer sunnier days, and a great time to get active, ditch those winter blues, as well as a few extra lockdown pounds!
It may be of no coincidence, that in the month when new life is blossoming, it’s also a time to reflect and build awareness of ovarian cancer.
Sadly, ovarian cancer affects over 7,400 each year and is the biggest gynaecological killer of women and people with ovaries in the UK. Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, puts the spotlight on recognising symptoms that can result in earlier diagnosis and life-changing, or even lifesaving outcomes.
This month is also a chance to participate in one of the fundraising events taking place up and down the country. These activities help to fund vital research which will continue to drive improved survival rates and offer a better quality of life for those suffering from ovarian cancer.
