Invite to visit a Living Smart Home
See how technology is helping to improve the health and wellbeing of west Essex residents…
An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to visit a Living Smart Home. Come and see first-hand how technology is being used in a real-life scenario, to help people stay independent for longer.
The houses and residents are equipped with various customised technology, such as Alexa, sensors, smart plugs and wristbands.
This digital equipment is helping people to manage without any extra health and care support.
Voluntary organisations in Epping, Harlow and Uttlesford are running the pilot, which has real people in homes in each area. The homes were set up with funding from the Department for Digital, Media, Culture and Sport as part of their Digital Inclusion Fund.
We’d encourage you to visit the houses so you can see:
- what is available
- the impact it’s having on people
- how it can help relieve pressure on the health and care system.
Book a visit (between October and December) or find out more by emailing kate@rainbowservices.org.uk.
