Interim/Agency staff – a reminder

During the course of a year there may be times when we, as the CCG, need to bring in additional staff to fulfil short, specific pieces of work.  Examples could include:

  • Sick leave cover
  • Short term cover while recruiting
  • Change management
  • Senior interim vacancies

So that everything can be audited correctly there is an Agency and Interim Use policy.  This is in place to ensure we adopt good and consistent practice when engaging staff outside of a substantive contract.

As a reminder, if you are thinking of using agency or interim staff, this policy should be followed before any commitment is made to take them on.
