Integrated Care System Design Framework
Jane Halpin, our chief executive, shares a shote note regarding the design framework publication from NHSE/I…
Dear colleagues
NHS England and Improvement has today (16 June) published a ‘design framework’ which sets out how ICS governing boards should be structured and how we should work with partner organisations.
This document provides a steer to local systems to ensure there is some consistency across the country, whilst allowing areas to remain flexible on how their senior roles and governance arrangements are set up.
We’ll be digesting the framework fully over the next few days to understand the implications for our ICS and we’ll provide more information for staff at the next cross-CCG briefing in a couple of weeks’ time. We don’t expect the document to contain any great surprises as all the work we’ve completed on ICS development so far has been fully in line with NHSE/I thinking.
If you would like to read the document for yourself, it is available on the NHSE website and if you have any questions, please feel free to email the comms team and we’ll pick up the themes at the briefing session on 13 July.
Many thanks,
Dr Jane Halpin
