How many health checks in one afternoon?

Last Sunday (7 July) the communications team, along with two ladies from Anglian Community Enterprise (ACE) spent a sunny afternoon at the Epping Town Fair.

We supported ACE with health checks and blood pressure testing.  Over the course of four hours they completed 15 health checks and over 25 blood pressure tests.

It was a great opportunity to meet the public and raise awareness of things people can do to look after themselves.

We also had a fun demonstration of how to look out for signs of dehydration – using the wee chart.  With a bit of Blue Peter’ing we used orange juice to demonstrate the colour changes that could indicate dehydration!
