First virtual family quiz night hailed a success

Find out who reigned supreme at last night’s quiz…

Last night, seven teams battled it out for two hours on Microsoft Teams at the CCG’s first virtual family quiz night.

Keeping everyone in check were quizmasters Rob Gerlis and Andrew Geldard, who took the teams through six rounds from general knowledge to tennis. There was also a mouth-watering chocolate bar picture round.

It was a closely fought quiz, but we can reveal the winners are…

…Quaranteam, led by Naomi Brooks. Congratulations to Naomi and her team: Lara Segovia, Lucy O’Shea, Dr Christine Moss, Dr Hemali Parekh, Dr Sarah Crane and Maggie Pacini.

In second place were Jane Kinniburgh’s team, Rayne Ramblers. In joint third place were FBI, captained by Carl Bates and Nerd Immunity, captained by Tracy Manzi.

Here’s where the remaining teams were placed:

• 5th – The Pink Fluffy Unicorns, led by Beverly Hayward
• 6th – Smarty Pints, led by Vanessa Moon
• 7th (and winners of the wooden spoon) – Mighty Morphine Power Rangers Part II, led by Clare Romain.
