EPUT launches new 24/7 support service
The pandemic has affected us all in different ways. Some of you may be struggling to work from home while home schooling. Some of you may be feeling overwhelmed or stressed at work or home, due to workload, financial worries or caring for others. Some of you may be anxious every time you hear an update on the news. Some of you may be feeling the strain of isolation. Some of you may be struggling to mentally recover from COVID-19 or the loss of a loved one. And some of you may just feel down or a bit less bright, but you’re not sure why.
That’s why the Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) and Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT) have launched a brand new support service. Specifically for staff who work in healthcare, social care, the voluntary sector, or the not-for-profit sector. Even if you only work in an Essex or Hertfordshire organisation, but your work base is elsewhere you can still access the service.
Here for you is run by experts in the mental health field and confidentiality is paramount. Rest assured you can call the helpline in complete confidence to talk through your worries. Whether you need to talk to somebody, seek advice on where to find specific resources, receive counselling, attend a group session or organise a team debrief from a particular situation.
We know there are already other NHS support services in place you can access, such as the Employee Assistance Programme,Occupational Health and via the Our NHS People website. Here for you is different, it is an overarching service that prioritises your needs, signposts you to the right help at the right time, provides a priority referral if needed, and helps rebuild your resilience levels.
You can confidentially talk through any problems you’re facing, whatever they may be, anytime by calling 0344 257 3960.
