E-Appraisals launch postponed

Over the past few months, we have been taking steps to automate some of our processes via the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system. This is to help facilitate access and promote effective reporting mechanisms across the board.

We have consequently created an E-Appraisal and Performance Tool that is secure and simplifies the process for all to ensure the appraisal process happens promptly.

Using ESR made the most sense, as this is our portal for ensuring employee needs are met. For example, you can:

• access your own payslips
• complete your mandatory training
• update your own profile
• action your leave.

We are excited with what we have achieved and the intention was to ensure everyone had access to this appraisal tool on 1 June 2019.

In-depth user testing revealed the system is currently timing out every 10 minutes. Following discussions with the national ESR team we have been reassured this will be fixed at the end of August 2019.

We have therefore postponed the launch of the new E-Appraisal system to ensure it is fully functioning and user friendly before we launch it.

Please continue to complete your appraisals, using the electronic forms, to ensure you are compliant by 30 June 2019.

The system is now due to launch in time for the mid-year reviews in October 2019. We will ensure all staff are fully trained and familiar with the system by this new launch date.
