Covid-19: Daily communications update 15.04.20, 16:29hrs

General

  • All staff briefing – the next staff briefing is happening on Tuesday 21 April at 12noon. If you have any questions for Rob or Andrew, please email the Comms team. Dial-in details are available in the meeting invitation you received this morning.
  • Paediatrics national campaign: delayed presentations in children with acute illness – recent media reports have highlighted concern that children with illnesses unrelated to Covid-19 are going to hospital too late and coming to harm as a result. The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health has produced some guidance for parents and carers on their website. This includes a poster, which explains what to do if your child is unwell or injured during the coronavirus pandemic. Please promote and signpost your friends and family to this information where you can.

HR

Reporting Covid related absence – earlier this month, we told you to record Covid-19 related absence on ESR. Please ignore this. From now on, if you’re a line manager, you must report Covid related absence to Jeneva Allison and Simone Surgenor. Do not enter onto ESR. When reporting an absence, Jeneva and Simone need the following information:

The date(s) of absence and the reason:

  • Diagnosed
  • Self-isolating for own health
  • Self-isolating due to family displaying symptoms

Primary Care

Primary Care Covid-19 briefing – read today’s Primary Care Covid-19 briefing. The briefing supports GPs across west Essex with operational information and advice. If you would like to include any content, please email Sarah Crane or Naomi Brooks.
