General

  • Volunteer Responders Scheme – the NHS is keen to encourage more referrals to the Volunteer Responders Scheme from health and social care professionals. People who are shielding or self-isolating can also refer themselves for help and support for:
    • medicine and grocery deliveries
    • lifts to appointments
    • check in and chat telephone support

  • Misinformation about COVID-19 – NHS England and NHS Improvement has shared a post on Twitter about using trusted sources to help tackle the spread of misinformation about COVID-19. Check it out, so you know how to spot fake accounts
  • Hugs pocket poem book – Epping Forest District Council has copies of the Hugs poem book to give away. The book was created by the Community Writers’ Group with the intention of sharing  some love and positivity during times of need. If you would like a hard copy, please email your request to Victoria Robertson, Community Development Officer
