General
Coronavirus guidance – the Cabinet Office has published Coronavirus outbreak FAQs: what you can and can’t do. This includes answers to questions such as:
- “Can I go to the dentist, my GP or another medical appointment?”
- “Can I walk my dog / look after my horse?”
- “Can I drive to green spaces?”
- “Can I go to the park?”
111 mental health crisis service has launched – a new 24-hour phone service for people experiencing mental health crisis is now live across Essex. We are informing our GPs this service is now available and advising them to encourage patients to call 111 and select the option for mental health crisis. This will connect callers to EPUT staff who will provide appropriate support and advice
Free parking for NHS workers – Epping Forest District Council (EFDC) is providing free parking for NHS staff and critical key workers in all EFDC owned car parks. You must register your vehicle with EFDC before parking for free the first time. Please email parking@eppingforestdc.gov.uk and provide your:
- name
- vehicle registration
- key worker status or role.
Despite the introduction of these parking exemptions, it is possible you may still receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN). If you receive a PCN, you should challenge this in the usual way. EFDC will treat any appeals sympathetically in accordance with a valid pre-registration, guidance and any evidence provided to support the appeal
