Celebrate friendship this Valentine’s Day

Check out 4 ways to spend Valentine’s Day with friends…

For Friendship February this week, and with Valentine’s Day tomorrow, we’re looking at how to celebrate the 14 February with friends instead.

Valentine’s Day isn’t just for lovers and doesn’t always have to be about chocolates and flowers. Many people actually celebrate Valentine’s Day with their friends, whether they’re single or in a relationship.

Yes, Valentine’s Day is all about love, but there’s no rule saying it has to be about romantic love. This Friday 14 February is also a great time to show appreciation for your friends.

So, how do you say Happy Valentine’s Day to someone who isn’t a romantic partner, but is nevertheless a very special and important person in your life?

Here’s 4 ways to spend Valentine’s Day with your friends

Have a movie marathon
Stay in and watch a few great movies from the 80s or 90s or binge watch a box set. Make snacks and get cosy on the sofa.

Go for a hike or long walk
Get outside with your friends for the day or a few hours by taking a hike somewhere beautiful. Find a country park near you. If you’re a dog owner, why not treat the one you love to an extra special long walk. They are man’s best friend after all!

Have a meal in
Who needs an expensive dinner in a restaurant when you can have friends round to your house for a meal? You could always ask your friends to bring food to share to save you doing all the cooking!

Go shopping
Shopping with friends is always fun, even if you don’t buy anything. You could always grab lunch or a coffee between shops to take a breather.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
