Call for PPE volunteers

Can you help?

The CCG is looking for one or two volunteers who can help the team managing the PPE orders to pack up PPE ready for distribution to primary care colleagues on the front line.

In readiness for a potential second wave of Coronavirus, the team would appreciate any time colleagues can give. The level of support you give will be on an ad hoc basis and will depend on the time you have available to help. After packing, we will distribute the PPE to:

• GP practices
• Hot clinics
• Optometrists
• Community pharmacies
• Care homes
• HUC

We would ask that colleagues who would like to help consider first if they are on the shielded or vulnerable list, or if they have any underlying health conditions. If any of these apply, then while we appreciate your support it would be safer for you to continue to follow government guidance on self-isolation.

The team would like to thank Paul Stephenson for co-ordinating the PPE efforts on behalf of the organisation.
