Book your COVID vaccination

As our Chief Executive of the CCGs and the ICS, Jane Halpin has said, all staff working in the NHS should be champions for the vaccination process!

We want to support all our colleagues in getting their vaccination to further reduce the risks of COVID illness. We are already off to a good start with around 60% of CCG staff have already been vaccinated, but this is significantly lower than other local trusts.

We do realise that our data may not be complete, as some staff have been vaccinated elsewhere. That’s why we need you to complete this two minute survey to help us make sure our data is complete.

If you have not yet booked your vaccination, please do so as soon as possible.

The vaccination is the best protection available against COVID-19 and we want to strongly encouraged to take up this opportunity as soon as you can.  Our teams are playing a critical role in both the management of this pandemic and the ongoing delivery of essential NHS services.  We have all seen the effect that COVID-19 has had on staffing and service delivery in some of our partner organisations.  Our ability to go on supporting them and prioritising the care of our population depends very much on maintaining our own health and wellbeing.  We all have our roles to play in the frontline of supporting the NHS.

As a member of health and social care staff you can now make a vaccination appointment through the national booking website. You will be offered a choice of vaccination centres near your home so you should be able to find one that is convenient for you.  Please note that the Lister, Harpenden (CLCH), Watford Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital staff vaccination hubs are not currently taking bookings for first appointments.

On the day you must bring with you your staff photo ID badge and your NHS number. If you don’t know your NHS number you can find it on the NHS website.

For more information on the COVID vaccination programme, please visit the Healthier Futures website or the Hertfordshire and West Essex Health and Care Academy website where you will find videos and resources to help answer any questions you might have about having the vaccine.
