Board members take the bullying and harassment pledge

Last Thursday (31 January 2019) at the public board meeting, the Board took part in the ‘Stamp out Bullying’ campaign brought to the CCG by our HR and ODL training team. The Communications team were there to take pictures of the board members holding their pledge cards.

Members of the public saw Andrew Geldard (Chief Officer) and Dr Angus Henderson (Clinical Vice Chair), on the behalf of Dr Rob Gerlis (Chair), sign the pledge.

The pledge commits the CCG to:

  • Creating a positive culture to work in, including staff training
  • Challenge inappropriate behaviour and zero tolerance
  • Appointing a Freedom to Speak up Guardian for bullying and harassment
  • Quickly responding to complaints

Staff at West Essex CCG have begun their harassment and bullying training by our shared service provider, over 40 staff signed up to the pledge, with more soon to commit.
