Become a Jo’s Trust Cervical Cancer Champion

You can help bust the myths around Cervical Cancer…

West Essex CCG is running sessions throughout March, to equip colleagues with the knowledge to become a ‘Community Connector’… or champion.

The 90-minute training session will provide you with information and facts on the importance of women going for their cervical cancer screening. It will also help you bust the myths around cervical cancer that often deter women from going for their screening.

The sessions are open to all staff and will be delivered by a Jo’s Trust Public Health Co-ordinator.

What will the session cover?

  • What is cervical cancer and how is it caused?
  • What are the signs and symptoms?
  • How can cervical cancer be prevented?
  • What stops women going to get a smear test?

Check out the Community Connector information sheet for more information.

If you’d like to get involved in a session, register your interest with Mica Marshall in the Communications team.

Let’s bust the myths around Cervical Cancer and promote the importance of cervical screening.
