Assistant Director for Primary Care Contracting appointed

As you may know Lynn Dalton, Director of Primary Care Commissioning and Contracting (pictured left), retired on 10 December after over 40 years of service in the NHS.

As we transition to becoming an Integrated Care Board, we are looking at how we organise primary care services across Hertfordshire and West Essex. We are taking time to consider the future shape of the service and so will not fill the gap as like for like.

However, we have appointed to the role of Assistant Director for Primary Care Contracting and Rachel Halksworth will be starting on 4 January. Rachel will take on many aspects of Lynn’s work.

We have a strong leadership team in place in primary care with our Assistant Directors in each of the CCGs continuing to provide local oversight of services, so we are well placed to support our practices over what is a very busy period.

If you need to escalate any issues to director level that you would have previously raised with Lynn, please contact Anurita Rohilla if it is urgent or contact Avni Shah on her return from annual leave on 4 January.
