After all it is Donating December…
As we approach the third week of December and Christmas Day is fast approaching, lets go through some dos and don’ts as part of Donating December.
Don’t be a Grinch this Christmas and do something nice for friends, family, work colleagues and the residents of west Essex.
Donating money – Christmas Jumper Day
Remember, it’s Christmas Jumper Day tomorrow (Friday 13 December). Join the CCG and take part in donating £2 each in aid of Save the Children. There’ll be a donation box on reception to pop your money in.
No change? no problem! you can visit the Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day website or text TEAMWECCG to 750050 to donate.
If you miss out on Friday or you just enjoy wearing your festive knitwear to work, there’s another opportunity to show it off on Wednesday 18 December.
• Don’t forget to wear your best Christmas jumpers
• Do remember it’s for charity and it’s Donating December
Donating food
Firstly, thank you to everyone who donated items to the local food banks, we’ll be dropping off your very generous donations this week and early next week. Look out for the full story on this next week.
Secondly, don’t forget next Wednesday (18 December) the Staff Partnership Group will be hosting a ‘bring and share’ Christmas lunch from 12noon to 1.30pm in the Board Room.
Everyone is invited to come along and bring seasonal food to share, whether it’s homemade or shop bought.
Remember there isn’t an all staff briefing this month, however, Andrew will give a short update as well as announcing the winner of the best decorated office competition. So do make sure you come along!

Donating stamps
Finally, don’t throw your stamps away, why not save and do something with them?
There are some local and national charities that raise funds from stamps including:
• Macmillan Cancer Research
• Oxfam
• Parkinson’s UK
We’re also collecting these for charities who take part in recycling schemes.

Donating your time
Thank you all for your kind donations so far, donating your time and being part of Donating December!
Donating your time can/will:
• help people who are less fortunate than us
• be an opportunity to work and talk with colleagues across the CCG
• make a difference
