60s and 70s dance party for George
You are invited to attend a special event by Michelle Bullman from the Urgent Care team who’s fundraising for her son George…
Some of you may know about (and have been along to) the annual fundraising event Michelle’s mum and dad put on for her son George.
The evening is to raise funds for George who is almost five and a wheelchair user. He has cerebral palsy, delayed development and visual impairment. He’s also your usual typical cheeky little boy!
It takes place on Saturday 28 September at 7.30pm at the Little Baddow Memorial Hall near Chelmsford. Tickets cost £10 for adults and £5 for kids. Bring your own drinks and nibbles and enjoy a night out.
Come along for a night of music and dancing to all your favourite 60s and 70s tunes, thanks to a friend of Michelle’s parents who’s doing the DJing.
It’s always a lot of fun and there are still some tickets available, just contact Michelle on x5816.
George has weekly specialised physio sessions. He also gets support from the PETO Institute in Hungary.
Michelle said: “These sessions have really helped George to develop his potential. The ultimate aim is to improve his mobility and increase his chance of being able to walk.
“As I’m sure you can imagine though, it’s very expensive. An average hourly session costs £80 and a block of them can be over £1,500.”
Any money raised will go towards essential equipment and physio for George.
If you can’t make it, but want to get involved, you can donate funds or a raffle prize for the evening.
“Thanks to all those who support us and have supported us in the past. It really has made a difference”, added Michelle.
If you would like to know more, please go and chat to Michelle in Building 4. You can also show your support by making a donation on George’s Justgiving page or sharing the link on Facebook or other social media.
